Independence Day

Craig drove up on Thursday evening to spend the 4th weekend with us. We missed Janet as she was in Austin for the birth of their latest grandson. Kate had a baby boy, Connor William, on the 30th. Zach and Cathy also came up with Jaime and the dogs on the 4th for a night. We kept Craig busy with platform tennis, pickleball and the pool. He was even too tired to go with us the see the Villages hula dancers at the July 4th celebration at the Sumter landing town square and stayed home to watch the world cup. Saturday we gave Zach and Cathy the tour of the Villages then Craig, Alesa and I played pickleball while Zach and family went to the family pool. After Zach left we headed to the pool but the lightning turned us around. We golfed with the neighbors this morning and Craig headed home to do chores and pick Janet up at the airport. Alesa is nursing a sore thumb so she didn't hit from the tees but dropped near the green and putted.
