Maine - Day 5
August 20, 2014
This morning, Alesa and Laura drove to Eastport for lobster and clams and to buy a case of Raye's mustard. Elyse, Annika and I went into the Maine woods to shoot my pistol and on the way back we picked blackberries by the side of the road. Steve, Mike and Lisa took a bike ride along the stream. When they got back we took a boat ride out to Caribou Rock where Mike, Lisa, Elyse and Annika dove off it into the lake. It's a rite of passage and I did it years ago. We then went over to Art and Sally's beach to swim and ride the hydrocycles while Laura and Alesa prepared dinner (Their choice). Back at home, Steve steamed the clams and lobsters on the outside fireplace and Art and Sally joined us for dinner. Today is Sally's birthday so we sang and had cake and ice cream. The kids made egg salad since they didn't like lobster but they had no problem with the ice-cream and cake which was circled with freshly picked blackberries.
