Towing Icebergs
Went to a local bar in Wildwood called "O'Shucks" and, yes, they specialize in oysters and there is an "R" in April but we passed. It looks like a real dive but we heard good reports so we went with the Maloneys and were pleased with our meals, the crowd and the $1 drafts. Tim and Cheryl hadn't been to the new Russell Stover outlet and once they heard they now have ice cream we made an after dinner stop. Alas, they only serve Blue Bell ice cream and it has all been recalled so we drowned our sorrows in chocolate. You just can't keep a good urge down. Wednesday, we golfed with a very nice couple from Newfoundland who rented for the winter. He owned a rigging business which he sold a few years ago and agreed to stay on for two years but still gets pulled in to help. His most interesting jobs are to tow mile long icebergs out of the shipping lanes, which are very lucrative contracts. He still can't get over that people travel from all over the world to come and see the icebergs. There just icebergs and there everywhere. I guess that would be true in Newfoundland. I hear all the ice is supposed to be off Lake Erie today but it did snow in Ripley yesterday. And we have started a garden to include the avocados Alesa planted from seed back in PA.
