Yesterday we took Ann and Ed over to visit with the Stone cousins in Mew Smyrna. We went to Eileen's house and she had arranged to have Bobby and Jimmy come over to meet with Ann. She has not seen the Stone cousins since high school.
Trip Log
We are keeping busy and looking forward to Jeff and his family as well as Bob and Cathy coming down this Friday. We have been golfing with Ann and Ed and went to lunch with them at the American Legion on Wednesday.
We have been doing a lot of golfing over the last few weeks. Ann and Ed Dawson are visiting with his sister and we are golfing with them. I even golfed a couple of 18 hole courses off campus with Ed. We had Ann & Ed and Paul & Carol over for lunch after we golfed on Sunday.
Saturday was the Lake Hernando Dragon Boat Festival and Alesa's team. "This Boat Rocks", finished out of the medals. Their times were better than last year but they moved up a division and all the competition was stiffer as the festival is maturing and drawing more experienced teams.
Tonight, the Millers and we co-hosted the monthly Erie Club meeting. Sandy cooked the corned beef and cabbage dinner and we helped prepare and I took the reservations for the last few weeks.
Wednesday we went to a "This Boat Rocks" social. TBR is Alesa's dragon boat club and she received the medal they won at the races last November. Thursday we headed down to Naples for the weekend. It rained the entire way down but we still stopped at our regular places.
On Monday, Carol and Alesa took old blankets to the ASPCA while Paul and I went to the American Legion for burgers and beer.
Yesterday we went down Tampa way for dinner with Zach, Kathy and Jamie. Craig and Janet had driven up from Naples and were there as well. Zach and Cathy were running in a marathon today and had a hi-carb dinner last night to prepare for it.
Ann & Ed Dawson, from Erie, are staying with Ed's sister in the historic section (oldest, most northern). Ann is Paul's and my cousin, so the three oldest cousins got together yesterday and visited. Paul hasn't seen Ann for almost 40 years.
Thursday was the February Erie Club meeting and it was Smith's Hot Dog Night. The Dudenhoefers joined us and we had our fill of grilled hot dogs with a lot of fellow Erieites. Yesterday Alesa had blue streaks added to her hair and is going to have teal added as well.
