Yesterday we had the front porch enclosed with a screen and door. They did a very nice job, now we can open the front and back doors and get a good breeze through the house.
Trip Log
Today, on the way home from golfing at dusk we could see the launch of the SpaceX Commercial satellite from Cape Canaveral, it was cool. Three days ago Alesa entered the world of Medicare so yesterday she was out shopping for doctors.
This is the sunrise from our lanai this morning. We played another 2 hours of pickleball this morning before Craig & Janet headed to Zachary's, then home. Alesa posted pickleball pictures on facebook. She is out paddling and I am relishing the rest.
We golfed a couple of different courses this week and attended an AED class to be first responders. The neighborhood has bought a few AED units (Automated External Defibrillators)and is training residents to be first responders with CPR and AED training.
Becca (nee Crawford) & Jason Rourke stopped in yesterday after visiting with Mary Carol & John in Deland. Today they headed to Clearwater Beach for a few days of R&R before heading back to Erie (work and cold weather).
Thursday we enjoyed a water volleyball instructional session which was great fun and we will be certain to play more. Last night we ate at the Hacienda Hills Country Club with our backyard neighbors.
Yeah, I know I'm a day late but ran out of time, a common occurrence lately. There were two new golf courses opened here in October and we golfed one on Monday and the other one yesterday. Alesa believes she had the best round of her life yesterday.
Tonight we went with Paul and Carol to Olive Garden. Paul and I received free dinners and the ladies got 10% off for veterans' day. Saturday, John and Donna came with their granddaughter Lilly and Pat and Tracy also came from Pat JR's race and Ann Marie's games in northern Florida.
Last night we went to dinner and then to see 'Last Vegas' with neighbors. A great time and the movie was very good. I especially liked how the 'older' audience of The Villages appreciated the 'geriatric' humor. I am not sure the younger audiences will get it.
Tuesday I golfed with some Villagers from Erie and then Steve & Laura and Greg & Cindy Foster came for a visit. The Fosters stayed Tuesday and Wednesday night and we all took the grand Villages tour on golf cars.
