Today we drove over to Ormond Beach to take Betsey out to lunch for her 80th birthday which was Monday.

Today is the first day of hurricane season and we hope it will be a mild one. We aren't expecting to have any problems but are stocking up to be prepared just in case. Thursday we drove over to Mt. Dora to have lunch with the Abates, friends of Mike and Lisa who moved to Florida two years ago.

Alesa is now into water aerobics and qigong, she just doesn't stop. We golfed a championship course last week, the one which runs by our house, and did fairly well. It was so hot we quit after 9 and they gave us a credit for the back 9.

Larry and Diane Carullo came back down from Erie last week to close on their house in the northern part of The Villages. We had dinner with them on Thursday and visited their new home on Friday before they flew home the next day.

We continue to golf and play. A belated Happy Mothers' Day to at least half of you out there. Alesa received a package from Jeff's family which was Bridget's stuffed Sneetch, a perfect match to Nana's tattoo. We also received a post of Mike's colored pencil drawing of orange trees.

Been a little under the weather with a cold so we have been spending a little more time relaxing than normal. We did finally start golf lessons so we can be a little more focused on improving our golf.

Happy Easter to all. Last night we went over to the Brownwood Paddock Square to watch DJ Scooter. He does mostly line dancing and leads the group. He has a huge following and the visiting families enjoy him. He uses lot of props like arrows and big hands to tell the dancers which way to go.

Today we all went to Crystal River and the kids got to wade in the Gulf after walking the boardwalk. On the way out we stopped by a bridge and watched a couple of manatee swim by. It was a great morning and they got to see a bit more of Florida.

Today we had our palm tree installed as required now that we are in FL. Sunday evening Jeff, Bailey and I went out to a local course after it closed and were able to play 7 holes before it got too dark.
