Yesterday was a Busy Day which included a jam session with Alesa on the Uke, me on the guitar, Jeff on the bass and Bailey on the drums.
Trip Log
Bridget and I stayed home yesterday while Alesa & Bailey went to pick up Elyse and Annika. Bridget had some reading to do and the car only seats 5. When they got back and Jeff came home early from work, we all went bowling and after dinner I took the kiddos to DQ.
We had another great few days with Craig and Janet when they stopped on their way back home from Ripley. We played pickleball, platform tennis and swam to relieve the heat and wore each other out. They even took a paddle lesson with us.
Getting ready to head north. Can't wait! Had our home inspection today to make sure we take full advantage of our warranty. No problems, just cosmetic stuff. Now we have to coordinate the work. Played 18 at Mallory Hill Country Club yesterday, we prefer to pay 9 in this heat.
Been busy, all of our medical check-ups went well and we are now getting ready to head north. Being held up to have our warranty inspection to make sure all is well before our warranty ends. Can hardly believe we've lived here for almost a year already.
Craig drove up on Thursday evening to spend the 4th weekend with us. We missed Janet as she was in Austin for the birth of their latest grandson. Kate had a baby boy, Connor William, on the 30th. Zach and Cathy also came up with Jaime and the dogs on the 4th for a night.
It's been humid and in the high 90's every day and it rained for the first time in 10 days. We are just going to have to get use to it. We still swim, golf, paddle and play racquet sports. But, on the court, we do limit ourselves to an hour with a hydration break halfway through.
Been working through Craigslist with a couple to sell the trailer and we sold it Friday. We transferred the title, he registered it in FL and gave me a huge stack of hundred dollar bills.
The neighbors across the street ordered a shade tree (elm) and have been waiting for it to be planted. It keeps getting delayed but they had put a couple of sticks to show where they wanted it.
Been getting a bit of rain every day. The mornings have been clear but the weather has been chasing us home every afternoon. On Thursday, Alesa and Paul took Carol and I out to dinner for our birthdays at Mesa Luna.
