Trip Log

August 9, 2012

Another busy day at Camp NanaPapa. We made some root beer by using dry ice and conducted a few experiments beforehand since we had the dry ice.

August 8, 2012

Today was tubing day with a 2 hour float down the Brandywine. The kids really enjoyed themselves once they got past the fact they could do more in the creek than just float.

August 7, 2012

Started the day with some more tennis practice followed after lunch by a round of miniature golf. We then headed to Sheeder Mills Farm for the equestrian events, a half an hour in the training ring followed by a half hour trail ride.

August 6, 2012

Camp NanaPapa day 1. Since we have an olympic theme we all spent the night watching the Olympics while the kids settled in and set things up to their liking.

August 5, 2012

Tomorrow is the start of Camp NanaPapa, our annual week with all four grandkids. Bailey and Bridget came over at lunchtime and Elyse and Annika at dinner. I have been busy trying to repair the laptop.

July 31, 2012

We left GLS this morning via the back roads and the Maine Woods spit us out on the pavement of the Airline at 8AM. The traffic was good and the trip uneventful so we arrived home just before 7PM.

July 30, 2012

Our last full day here. Steve guided a couple (Regis and Caroline Lepage) from the weekend this morning and I was on the stream for the last time. They had a great day on the lake and brought home a bass or two for lunch.

July 29, 2012

Sunday in Grand Lake Stream is very relaxing. Many of the group are leaving today so things are kind of winding down.

July 28, 2012

Today started early with a trip up-lake (by car) for a "Guide's" breakfast for all 18 of us at Art and Sally's and then we drove into town (Princeton) for some groceries. We then went to the GLS Folk Art festival to enjoy the music and visit the vendors.

July 27, 2012

Six couples arrived in town today in addition to the three already here for Steve and Laura's group get together for the GLS Folk Art Festival. We did some fishing on the stream and on the lake and caught up.
