Trip Log

August 1, 2019

Summertime in Florida so we get storms, or at least rain, every day. Rain doesn't stop our volleyball game but lightning does. We have needed the rain but the ponds are getting full and they are running sprinklers all the time, even during the rain, to keep the pond levels down.

Been busy since we got back to Florida with yard work, golfing and water volleyball but nothing really worth posting. We play volleyball every day of the week except Monday but we play twice on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Left Mike's at 7 on Monday morning, stopped at the Carolina Outlets for a break and a little shopping and arrived in Lumberton around 3. Left at 7 on Tuesday and arrived home before three and even stopped at Sam's in Ocala for gas and some food.

Mike left early to set up for the swim meet and I dropped Annika off at the meet then Lisa off at work. Picked up Alesa and headed to the swim meet. We left a little early to pack for our trip back to Florida in the morning. Went to Elyse's Roller Derby this afternoon.

June 28, 2019

Lisa, Mike and Elyse worked today and Annika had swim practice. I spent the morning making a new part for a folding Adirondack chair. Even got to use the sabre saw I gave Mike when we moved. Annika spent much of the day with us before she went to work at Rita's.

Got up late this morning, 9:30 (6:30 in Arizona). Lisa was off work today, so after breakfast we took her to LA fitness for her to swim laps then we went to Exton to pick up our car. Alesa drove the car to Mikes and I picked up Lisa who had started to walk home.

June 26, 2019

Jeff drove us to the Phoenix airport at 5:45 and dropped us off at the terminal. He parked the car and stopped over at our gate to see us off. He had a flight to LA at around 10.

June 25, 2019

We will fly back to Philly in the morning so today is our last full day in AZ. The heavy work is done and Jeff and family are 'at home' and down to the 'settling' tasks such as registering the cars, changing drivers' licenses, looking at schools for Bridget and learning the house.

June 24, 2019

Things have settled a bit with Jeff working again, albeit from home, Danielle took Bridget to look at high schools and they started the process to get Arizona driver licenses and license plates. They ordered a dining room table from the next door neighbor which will be delivered in a few weeks.

June 23, 2019

This morning before the sun got too hot we headed out to San Tan Mountain park and hiked some of the easier trails. Alesa had bought some hiking boots to deal with the rocky trails and will leave them here for future treks since there is no real need for them in Florida.
