Alesa is doing very well but it's not fast enough for her. They released her from therapy on Monday and now she walks and does at-home exercises. We have been out shopping and some local hike but she has bit of cabin fever.
Trip Log
Alesa continues to work hard and do well. She had her eyes checked yesterday and her annual skin check today and there were no issues in either case. She bought an ice cream maker and that was one of today's projects.
Alesa is doing very well, better than most according to her 1 week doctor visit early this week. She has been doing a lot of walking which will speed her recovery but increases the short term pain and swelling. She had her third therapy session today and is working hard.
Craig and Janet came up on Saturday for Alesa's last hurrah at pickleball for a while. Betsey and Jennifer were visiting Eugene and Connie so they came over for a visit and to wish Alesa well. Tuesday morning we drove down to Orlando Health Dr.
Drove home on the 27th and 28th through Charlotte and spent the night with our 'recently moved' neighbor in Huntersville. It was good to see Lois again. She moved out of the Villages this summer and is planning to move again to Leesburg, a suburb of DC.
Over to Mike's today to play the Uke with Elyse and Annika and to say our goodbyes. Alesa and the girls had a great time playing Dutch Splits then singing and playing the ukuleles. They had party later in the day so it was back to Jeff's for a last night of games and packing.45755281504
Woke up to Bailey and Bridget opening gifts from 'Santa' then headed off to 'Shannnondell at Valley Forge' for brunch with Bob & Ann Goodman and Ken & Sue Schwed. The Goodmans treated us all to a very nice Christmas brunch and it was great fun catching up with friends.
Another great family Christmas Eve, We had it at Jeff and Danielle's and, as soon as Mike and family showed up, we started with a lot of food and visiting. Then on to games, karaoke and gift exchange. Alesa made mittens for everyone.
Played games last night and went to Mike's this morning. Stopped at Sam's Club for some Christmas Eve food shopping then to Mike's and visited with him and Elyse before she left to babysit the twins.
Alesa had her doctor appointments in preparation for her knee replacement in January and all is ready. I got a couple of crowns to replace the tooth (10) I broke in Europe as well as the tooth (11) next to it which has needed it for a while.
