Yesterday we went to a wedding brunch at Bob and Cathy's and a second chance to visit with family and friends. It has been a wonderful family weekend and Bob & Cathy were excellent hosts.
Trip Log
Then off to the reception in the wedding shuttle (school bus) at the Masonic temple. Great time! Alesa, Danielle, Bailey and Bridget took a Uber back to the Sheraton at around 8 because the shuttle wasn't going to return until after 10. They wanted to rest and Bailey wanted to fish.
This morning Jeff treated us to breakfast at the Sheraton and we drove around the peninsula with Jeff and family then stopped at Sara's for a quick lunch before heading back to get ready for the wedding, Tim and Caity were married at St Lukes and, afterwards, we stopped at Mike's B&B for a q
Today was a golf day with Bob and friends, family and those in town for Caity's wedding. We (to include Alesa) played 18 at Crabapple Ridge. There were 11 of us and we golfed the final foursome (3) with Ryan Brown who was an excellent playing partner and very patient with Alesa and I.
We walked on the Peninsula amongst the Cottonwoods for a while before meeting with Ann Russell, a dear friend and a previous neighbor in Erie. She drove in from Painesville to meet with us at Sara's and she is the same delightful lady she always was.
Today we went to Meadville to visit with my sister, Ava and had a very nice visit, We then visited with Larry and Diane Carullo in McKean. After stopping back at the motel for a late lunch and a rest we visited Art and Annie Freitas for a few hours.
Arrived in Erie last night around 4 and settled into the Red Roof Inn on I-90 and Rte. 97 by the casino. Today we did some shopping, got black raspberry cones at Whippy Dip and took a little hike in the Erie Cemetery.
Been busy most of the second half of May getting ready for our trip back North. Alesa had a follow up appointment with her knee doctor on Friday and things are going well with a bit of swelling so he drained most of the fluid from her knee.
Alesa had her follow up Dr.'s appointment on Monday and is doing fine, better every day but still limping. She has spent the week getting ready for a platform tennis tournament which was played today. It was her concept and she is running it but not playing in it.
This morning was a Hurricane Expo at the Rohan Rec Center. We call these 'free pencil days' as they have a lot of handouts. Alesa and I went down and learned a few things about available services.
