Trip Log
Yesterday we got a call from my cousin Paul who had driven up from Florida to visit his brother Mike in Maryland. So Alesa and I drove to Federalsburg, Md.
We have the grandkids over again this weekend. The local pharmacy had 'fainting goats' in the parking lot so we thought it would be fun. None of them fainted while we were there (goats or kids) but the kids really enjoyed holding them. (
Today we skipped the workout and played a little. We went to Pottsville, about 60 miles north of here and toured the Yuengling Brewery. It is the oldest brewery in the US (1829) and the second largest American owned brewery behind Samuel Adams. On the way back we stopped at Cabelas in Hamburg
We forsook the Phillies World Series parade and went to Mike & Lisa's to see the kids' school halloween parade. Ellie was Princess Leia while Anni was Hermione Granger. We clearly picked the better parade. We went shopping while they had their school parties, joined them for a quick dinne

We have Bailey and Bridget for the weekend and will be taking them home tomorrow in time for Bailey's flag football game. After checking out all the toys they haven't seen for awhile as well as the train set Steve & Lara gave us on our last trip to Maine, we went riding, Bailey on Jeff's boy
We arrived home yesterday after a clear and sunny ride across the state. The scenery was great and we did see a flock of wild turkeys but most of the leaves were past peak or, because it has been so dry, just turning brown and dropping off. On Monday I went to see my sister Marilyn and Alesa we
We drove up to Erie on Friday stopping in Coudersport for lunch with Joe & Diane Dougherty. We took mostly back roads and the fall foilage was spectacular; sun-lit reds, yellows and greens. The higher elevations in the higher latitudes were actually past peak. We took the NY southern tier
It has been a truly glorious October to date except for the stock market and the Bears/Eagles game. The weather has been just perfect; cool in the evenings, warm sun in the daytime and color in the trees. Alesa and I continue to go to Gold's gym every day for a good workout. I typically pedal
