Had a busy day in Erie.

July 5, 2016

Spent the 4th with Jeff and Danielle and the kids as well as Danielle's family. We drove to Erie today and headed directly the Whippy Dip and was rewarded with Black Raspberry after stopping at Campbells pottery on the way. We spent the night at Bob and Cathy's.

July 3, 2016

Headed over to Abington to see Mike, Lisa, Elyse and Annika. Their holiday weekend schedule was pretty busy so we spent the day before heading back to Jeff's for a picnic on the 4th. It was wonderful seeing them. The girls are out of school and don't start summer swimming until next week.

July 2, 2016

As usual, it's taking a few days to recover from travel. Bailey is busy lighting his fireworks last night and again tonight. Hope he has some left for the 4th. Heading over to Mike's for the day tomorrow and hopefully we can determine a schedule for the rest of our stay.

After breakfast we went to Wright Brothers National Park, the site of the first flight. A quick tour and we were on our way home. The kids were tire of traveling and anxious to get home.

June 30, 2016

Arrived at the Outer Banks just after one and were able to check in early. We had a beachside motel and the kids headed directly to the ocean and they enjoyed playing in the waves. There was a bit of an undertow due to the high waves and the kids did well.

Headed into Charleston this morning and visited the Ft. Sumter museum but the ferry wasn't leaving for two hours so we drove downtown and walked around the riverfront. We drove over to Patriots Point to see the aircraft carrier and destroyer but opted out of the Ft.
