Trip Log

July 13, 2016

The girls had swimming practice this morning and have a meet tonight. After their practice we all went to Tyler state park and the girls hiked while Mike and I played Frisbee golf.

July 12, 2016

Drove back to Mike's after a stop to see Marilyn and a stop at Luchetti's pizza to try and retrieve Jeff's mail order pizza. I have never seen anyone who could lie so confidently about things he hasn't done or does not intend to do, so the saga continues.

July 11, 2016

Got up at 5 this morning and Steve and I met Ed Dawson at the Walnut Creek access area to head out on his boat fishing. It was a beautiful day on the lake and we trolled for walleye for about 4 hours. We caught 2 but was only legal by a half an inch so we released him.

July 10, 2016

Went to breakfast at the Freeport Inn with Steve and Laura, then off to golf with them at Lakeside. We joined the reunion wine tour partway through the second winery then went to 5 and 20 winery where we took a tour before the tasting.

July 9, 2016

This morning we went to Meeder's for breakfast and this afternoon a picnic. Of Alesa's graduating class of 47, 22 have shown up for the reunion.

July 8, 2016

Yesterday we shopped at the Millcreek Mall and then golfed with Bob at Crabapple Ridge. This morning Marilyn had back surgery so I went over to the hospital waiting room with Helen, Bernice and Cathy.

July 6, 2016

Had a busy day in Erie.

July 5, 2016

Spent the 4th with Jeff and Danielle and the kids as well as Danielle's family. We drove to Erie today and headed directly the Whippy Dip and was rewarded with Black Raspberry after stopping at Campbells pottery on the way. We spent the night at Bob and Cathy's.

July 3, 2016

Headed over to Abington to see Mike, Lisa, Elyse and Annika. Their holiday weekend schedule was pretty busy so we spent the day before heading back to Jeff's for a picnic on the 4th. It was wonderful seeing them. The girls are out of school and don't start summer swimming until next week.

July 2, 2016

As usual, it's taking a few days to recover from travel. Bailey is busy lighting his fireworks last night and again tonight. Hope he has some left for the 4th. Heading over to Mike's for the day tomorrow and hopefully we can determine a schedule for the rest of our stay.
