Alesa had a tough night last night but did better today. She was able to walk up and down the hallway. But the recovery is a little tougher than she expected. The sunsets are from in front of our house the other night.
Trip Log
Alesa had her surgery today for her diverticulitis. It was planned as a 'keyhole' surgery but the surgeon had to 'hand assist' at the end, so we don't know how large the incision is.
Craig & Janet and Pat & Tracy came up on Saturday and we played a few hours of pickleball after I got home from the Erie club board meeting. After recuperating we had a dinner of pot pies and shepard's pie which Alesa prepared. Then we watched football.
Tonight was the January Erie Club meeting and it was Horse Racing night. Lost our bet on 3 of the 4 races. We would have won the 4th race but I was talking and the window closed as I got there. Alesa and Cheryl Maloney were jockeys in that race and I was going to bet on them.
Craig and Janet went to the neighborhood New Years eve celebration with me. A neighbor built a ball and lights climb the pole to the ball which lights at midnight. We went down a little before and visited with some neighbors before the show began which went off without a hitch.
Craig and Janet are up for a couple of days. We played pickleball this morning and are settling in for football and a New Year's celebration. Spent the last day at Jeff's playing with Bailey's VR games and packing for the trip home.
Yesterday, Boxing Day. we went over to Mike's and Alesa went shopping with the girls and had their traditional luncheon. I stayed home with Mike and caught up on some of his projects.
We celebrated Christmas and Hanukkah at the Schweds with them and the Goodmans. We caught up , toured Ken's train layout. lit the menorah and had a delicious dinner.
Another wonderful Christmas Eve with all the family. I even got to ride with Bailey as he drove to the grocery store for some last minute needs. Mike and his family came over to Jeff's with Elyse driving and we ate a buffet type meal prepared by Alesa, Danielle and Lisa.
Last night we had a Chinese dinner and Bridget made sushi followed by a round of Chinese checkers and Christmas shows. Today Alesa, Jeff and I went to the King of Prussia mall. We haven't been there for a few years and were impressed by the changes they made.
