Alesa paddled this morning then we both got our flu shots, Alesa at Sam's Club and me at the VA. Yesterday, Alesa planted the Wisteria from my grandfather's yard from a large pot and moved three citrus trees to the side yard.
Trip Log
Well, we got around to painting the other day so we are all done painting until Alesa says we aren't. Received the warranty replacement for the faulty smoke detector the fire department had to disconnect while we were in Canada.
Today, we are both actively procrastinating the painting we have yet to do on the two remaining walls. We must really hate painting since we have used the time to make dentist appointments for each of us.
Alesa's dragon boat team, The Silver Dragons, fielded three teams for the dragon boat races in Tampa and Alesa drummed for all 9 races. All three teams medaled so it was a successful day. After the races we stopped at Craig and Janet's to pick up three cabinets they just had replaced.
Tonight was the first Erie Club meeting of the season. Many of the snowbirds are back and we had a turnout of about 80 people. As the custom, it was Ox Roast night and we had Ox Roast fresh from Smith's, potato salad and a vegetable tray followed by ice cream and Bingo.
Have been busy catching up and Alesa finally got to Dragon boat this morning and we golfed this afternoon with a very nice couple from North Dakota. We golfed the Truman course with the new "sinkhole" we heard about when we were in Maine.
We left Sugarloaf this morning and headed to Bangor to attend Ingrid's soccer match and Willa's gymnastics(Steve and Laura's granddaughters). Then, after a visit with Gretchen, a tour of Bangor and dinner, we headed to the airport for our 6PM flight to Sanford.
Helped Steve install new blinds this morning then walked around the lodge area a little. This afternoon we hiked the West Mountain Trail then some of the golf course, It was a beautiful Fall day and the trees are just beginning to turn. It is very late this year but is happening fast.
We left Grand Lake Stream for Sugarloaf. Steve and Laura will be moving back to their condo for the winter and we will spend the next two nights here before flying back home. They had work done on the condo and wanted to check it and spend the homecoming weekend there.
A rainy day. We had breakfast at Art and Sally's and then back to the house to pack for tomorrow's trip to Sugarloaf.
