After the girls ate a late breakfast we headed up to the archery range for a class and some shooting. It was something the girls wanted to do and they did really well. We then stocked up on groceries and headed for a Chinese buffet for dinner.
Trip Log
Elyse and Annika flew in from Philadelphia last night for a week long visit. They were supposed to arrive at 6:15 but didn't get in until 9. We spent much of the day shopping in Orlando then got caught in horrible traffic as it started to rain.
Yesterday, we drove down to St, Pete's and stopped off at Pat and Tracy Artise's business, Southland Tavern Bar and Grill. We had a nice visit with Pat then headed across the Sunshine Skyway bridge to Ruskin, Florida on the east side of the bay, just off I-75.
We have been busy recovering from our trip, catching up with friends, golfing, platform tennis, dragon boating, bowling and shopping. Craig and Janet came up yesterday so we could wear them out at pickleball, platform tennis, swimming and celebrating his birthday (Wednesday)(and eating).
We arrived back home just before midnight last night after an uneventful trip. There was some heavy traffic but our phone navigation (Waze) successfully routed us around it.
Yesterday, our last day at Mike's, we took the girls to Weldon's Soda Fountain next to the Keswick Theater. It's an old fashioned soda fountain and the girls both got root beer floats, I got an egg crème and Alesa ordered a soda.
After a Harry Potter marathon with Annika on Sunday, I picked up Mike & Lisa at the train station. The girls had swimming practice this morning and after chores we played tennis with Lisa and the girls. Tonight they played Ticket to Ride.
Yesterday we visited with Art and Annie and then back to take Bob and Cathy to dinner at Valerios. Jeff and family left before 3 and are now safely home. Last night was my 50 year reunion for Cathedral Prep.
After I hooked TV-Ears up to Marilyn's new TV while the kids and Alesa went to the beach, Bob took a half day off and went golfing at Crabapple Ridge with Jeff, Bailey, Alesa and I. We played 9 as a fivesome and had a great time.
Yesterday Jeff, Bailey, Alesa and I golfed 18 at Lakeside; kind of a memorial Niebauer open. We walked and I won't be doing that again anytime soon. The Browns then hosted us all for a nice dinner and visit. Hopefully they will visit us in Florida so we can return the favor.
