Don't forget to reset your clocks tonight. Yesterday, Craig stopped over for a game day and we played pickleball and platform tennis for a couple of hours and then visited until he had to get home. Alesa and I then headed down to Brownwood for the Halloween celebration.
While Alesa and I are no longer in charge of the committee to support the Lake Hills special needs school, we remain active with it. Today was their Halloween party and we helped The Villages clown group by making balloon animals for the students at the school's "Clowning Around" station.
Today they opened the last planned regional recreation center. There was a grand opening and they had the respective clubs demonstrating the facilities as well as clubs inside displaying their crafts/interests..
Alesa paddled this morning then we both got our flu shots, Alesa at Sam's Club and me at the VA. Yesterday, Alesa planted the Wisteria from my grandfather's yard from a large pot and moved three citrus trees to the side yard.
Well, we got around to painting the other day so we are all done painting until Alesa says we aren't. Received the warranty replacement for the faulty smoke detector the fire department had to disconnect while we were in Canada.
Today, we are both actively procrastinating the painting we have yet to do on the two remaining walls. We must really hate painting since we have used the time to make dentist appointments for each of us.
Alesa's dragon boat team, The Silver Dragons, fielded three teams for the dragon boat races in Tampa and Alesa drummed for all 9 races. All three teams medaled so it was a successful day. After the races we stopped at Craig and Janet's to pick up three cabinets they just had replaced.
Tonight was the first Erie Club meeting of the season. Many of the snowbirds are back and we had a turnout of about 80 people. As the custom, it was Ox Roast night and we had Ox Roast fresh from Smith's, potato salad and a vegetable tray followed by ice cream and Bingo.
