Danielle is working, the kids are at school and Jeff and Alesa are making a shopping list for Christmas Eve dinner. They asked me to go shopping with them but I declined.
Trip Log
And tomorrow will be 61 and on Christmas Eve it will be 71 here in Pennsylvania. Spent yesterday at Mike's mostly watching football and recovering from the trip.
Had a Christmas party on Thursday night with Alesa's Silver Dragons Dragon Boat club and left Friday morning after 8 and headed north in a light rain. It cleared quickly and we had good weather and traffic as we headed toward Alesa's cousin in McGaheysville, VA. We arrived about 6 in Ft.
Happy Birthday, Alesa. Getting ready for the trip north. We are hosting Christmas Eve at Jeff's for the family so Alesa has made sock cookies for a decorating contest. She was worried about cutting out a couple dozen pair of sock cookies so I made her a cookie cutter.
Golfed at Sandhill on Sunday. Been golfing only on Sunday for the last month as we are busy with other activities. Craig and Janet stopped over that evening after meeting with their finance guy, our friend Jim Miller the CPA who was a Gannon professor.
Lots of leftovers and Craig and Janet came back up and we all went to play pickleball, then some basketball and then the exercise stations before coming home for lunch. After which Mike and his family left to spend the night with friends in Mt.
Last night we went to dance to Scooter at Lake Sumter before going out to Evergreen for Chinese buffet. Today we celebrated Thanksgiving with Mike, Lisa, Elyse, Annika, Craig, Janet, Paul, Carol and Lois. Tomorrow, Mike and family are headed to Mt. Dora then back home.
The truck is gone, all that remains are its footprints in the driveway. We drove to Ocoee yesterday (about 40 miles) to show the truck to the kid from West Palm Beach and he paid a fair price in cash. A lot better than the lowball offers I was getting and only took 2 weeks.
Getting a little cooler, especially this morning in the low 40s, but it warms up quickly. Busy selling the truck. Been dealing with someone from West Palm Beach and we will meet tomorrow and hoping he will pay asking price, looks pretty good. Alesa's root canal turned into a crown instead.
Been busy with a lot of little things. Finally put the truck up for sale, on Craigslist and Talk-of-the-Villages classifieds. Got a number a calls and a couple of lowball offers so we'll wait and see what happens.
