Five pallets of sod (2,000 sq. ft.) were delivered this afternoon so it will be a busy day tomorrow. Tonight we went to the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate Janet's birthday with their across-the-street neighbors and then back here to sing and eat the cake Alesa made for Janet's birthday.
Trip Log
Today Alesa began relaying the bricks next to the driveway and I caught up on finances, got a haircut and prepared the yard for the sod being delivered tomorrow. Since the lawn was all dug up I also did some metel detecting and found a few interesting things.
The weather has been rather cool although it is supposed to warm up a bit. Alesa worked in the flower beds today and I coordinated the ordering of the sod. The yard is contoured so we will sod this weekend.
Yesterday we rode the bikes around town and stopped at the beach for some metal detecting. It has been cool and breezy so it wasn't very crowded. We spent about an hour and collected a quarter, a nickel and a gold wedding ring along with a lot of foil wrappers and a few bottle caps.
We rode the bikes this afternoon and got caught in some slight rain showers but they were refreshing. There is red tide around and everyone on the pier was coughing due to it.
This morning we are relaxing and enjoying the cooler weather (72) and will ride the bikes to the beach later. Yesterday Alesa mowed the lawn and I replaced a ceiling fan, a light switch and fixed a chair. It was hot (93) and humid and we are not quite adjusted to the warmer temperatures.
We made it to Naples at about 3:30 yesterday after stopping at the outlets and BJ's on the way down. We were pretty beat so it was early to bed.
This morning we relaxed and got ready to move down to Craig and Janet's. Tomorrow we will take the trailer to storage in Bushnell at $26.75 per month and then head out to Naples. This afternoon we toured a little and then off to Paul and Carol's for dinner.
This morning we walked, swam, did laundry and investigated the three hole golf course on the resort. This afternoon we met again with Mitzi and changed our mind again and are now favoring the Elm. We also looked at available lots.
This morning we met with our realtor and visited a half a dozen homes to better define our wants/needs. Tonight we will go out to dinner with Paul and Carol and meet with Mitzi again tomorrow afternoon.
