This morning the Pruners came down from Jacksonville and we went for breakfast at Georgio's Diner in town and caught up on old times. We then walked around the St. Augustine Flea Market which is located next to the campground.
Trip Log
Today we arrived at the St. John's RV Park, shopped at the outlets and then drove down to Ormond Beach to visit with Betsey, her daughter Jennifer and her sister Mary who is visiting from Ripley. The weather has become cool and may even hit freezing the next few nights before it gets warmer.
Today we arrived in Brunswick, GA and are camped at the Golden Isle RV Park. Included is a picture of Annika's birthday party, we went over to visit last Sunday as she was turning 11 the next day.
We left Carolina Crossroads RV Resort at about 11 and had a Valentine Day lunch at Denny's at the Flying J about midway through North Carolina. We are now spending the night at the South of the Border Campground just inside South Carolina. It is the consummate tourist trap but very nice.
We delayed our trip south since I had a scheduled echocardiogram for the 13th. Monday the VA called and confirmed the appointment and then on Tuesday called and cancelled it. Go figure! It was only a follow up so I will have it in June with my doctor’s appointment.
Tuesday was another warm day, it was foggy but not much rain. Jeff and Bailey skied most of the day and enjoyed the empty slopes and the soft snow. They spent their day at the terrain parks practicing tricks.
This was probably more a day of not skiing. The temperature jumped to the mid 40s and it was foggy and rained most of the day. Mike is the only one who skied today.
Another wonderful day of skiing with the weather warming a bit. Bailey and Jeff both won bronze medals for racing. We enjoyed a visit from Jim and Mary Claire Brown this evening. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and above freezing so skiing may be iffy for the last two days of our stay.
