Arrived home at 2:30, unloaded the trailer and set up the house by 5. Alesa was happy to see crocus since we usually get home after they bloom. Now eating dinner and waiting for Jeff and Bailey to go with them to Bailey's lacrosse match just down the road.
Trip Log
We drove less than 50 miles today and are at the Endless Caverns RV Resort. We drove around New Market and the battlefield. Tomorrow we are headed home and to Bailey's lacrosse match since he is playing close to our house.
I never saw a purple cow,
I never hope to see one,
but I can tell you anyhow,
I'd rather see than be one.
After a relatively short 150 mile drive we set up just north of Waynesboro and drove to Mike & Ruth Hulvey's in Cross Keys for Easter. We told them not to hold dinner so we got there just before 2 as they were finishing.
We drove to Virginia today and are stayimg in the Fort Chiswell RV Park where I-77 and I-81 cross. The nail didn't hold so we went to Lowes and bought a bolt and permanently repaired the slide out. Tomorrow we will celebrate Easter with Alesa's Hulvey cousins on Grottoes, VA.
We are off I-95 exit 77 just before I-26. Called last week to find a spot in Columbia but they were all full so we are in a small RV park behind a Comfort Inn, We didn’t even unhook from the truck to get an earlier start in the morning. We will go up I-26 to Columbia then up I-77 to Virginia.
We drove from Bushnell to Woodbine Georgia and are camped at the Walkaround Camp and RV Park. In is owned by a very nice young Australian couple with a few kids who are in America on an adventure.
We got an email this morning from Jeff & Danielle that a house was burning on the 600 block of Brecknock Drive but it was a flat driveway so it wasn't ours. Got online to channel 6 but the picture looked like no house on Brecknock drive.
We rented a golf car and drove around to get the true 'Village' experience. It went down to 36 last night and to 66 during the day so we dressed warmly. We visited open houses for our two favorite models, the Elm and the Iris.
We went up to a few more open houses this morning then back to camp for one more bike ride before I rigged the bikes for travel and packed the lawn chairs. We will be leaving here on Thursday morning and heading north.
