Today we met again with our realtor and visited a model of each of the 3 home styles we are still considering and then went to the home sites we liked. We believe we have made a decision and we put a hold on a lot.
Trip Log
Today we went to a number of potential home sites then we visited with Ron & Dot Kempf, friends from Erie who have done what we are planning to do. They had bought a house and rented it for a few years, using it occasionaly until they recently moved down permanently.
We went back to The Villages this afternoon after a stop at the Russell Stover outlet. After a short review with our realtor, Mitzi, she took us around to some pre-owned homes, some spec homes and some home sites. We are getting closer to a decision, we think.
Today is St. Patrick's Days and we walked over to Wal Mart for groceries then Alesa read by the pool while I did some repairs then read the Sunday paper and practied the guitar. We then watched the Red Oaks St. Patrick's Day parade go by the trailer.
Today we drove back south for about 75 miles to visit with Pat & Tracy and their son Pat in St. Pete's. We then went over to the beach and visited with Joey G. and his wife, Tets who are visiting in the states from Holland.
Today was a day of fire and ice. We woke up to 39 degrees then were in the pool by noon as it was 75 and sunny.
We spent yesterday packing up and saying good-bye to Naples. After Craig got home from work he packed and drove up to Tampa to spend the night at Zach's. Craig and Zach got up and out by 4 for a 6 AM flight to Omaha and we got out about 8 or so.
Took a long walk this morning which included the Conservency then back to do a final trimming on the Areca Palm. It was a threatening day with nothing more than a mist so far so we just relaxed and started packing for tomorrow night's departure.
Slept in a little this morning to make up for the lost hour. We rebuilt the piping on the well side of the irrigation system since the check valve had a stone stuck in it and wasn't holding prime and wouldn't pump water.
Don't forget your clocks tonight. Today we laid sod. It took about three hours and it looks pretty good. We are now relaxing.
