Thursday morning I went to HUP (Hospital of the University if Pennsylvania) for my AFibAblation. We had to be there at 6:30 AM then after the paperwork waited for 3 hours for a room.
Trip Log
Took the truck into the shop on Monday and blew copious volumes of smoke all the way. The bad news is that I have a blown headgasket and the good news is that it is covered under warranty. The job should take about a week.
Wednesday we had the girls for a few hours while Mike and Lisa went to his boss's Christmas party in the area and on Thursday we went to breakfast with the Schweds. We had our family Christmas on Christmas eve day and it was another wonderful get together.
Saturday we went early to the Philadelphia premium outlets (near the nuclear power plant in Limerick) because I had a $20 coupon and it is one of the few places I can find clothes and shoes that fit. We were able to get done and out before the crowds hit.
Thursday was Alesa's birthday and we went to Maggio's for dinner. We shopped at the King of Prussia mall that afternoon and ended up at Maggio's about 3 so we had an early dinner. The night before we went over to Ken and Sue's (neighbors) for a birthday dinner and conversation.
Bailey's request for his birthday weekend was to go to a Flyers' game. Last night the Flyers played the Tampa Bay Lightning and we went. Jeff joined us and we had dinner at Chickie and Petes down by the sports complex.
We picked up Bailey last night and stopped at Panera's for dinner. Today he worked on some Christmas gifts and made Potato and Onion soup. He peeled and chopped the onions and potatos and then made the noodles. Tonight Nana, Jeff, Bailey and I are going to the Flyers game.
Tonight Gannon played basketball at West Chester University. The men lost in overtime and the ladies won by two points with a buzzer beating three pointer. They were both great games. Afterwards we had a reception in Lawrence Hall and met the teams, coaches, alumni and other friends of Gannon.
On the Monday after Veterans' Day Annika's 4th grade class had an assembly where the students invited relatives who had or who are still serving in the military. Annika introduced me and did a very nice job. Mike posted the pictures on Fickr and I have included a couple here.
We had a totally relaxing Thanksgiving day and the day after. Saturday we had a few friends over for soup and some visiting. Mike and the girls joined us and and when Mike went to a friends to watch the Penn State game he left the girls for us.
