We went to the US Army Aviation Museum in Fort Rucker, drove around the countryside and into Dothan. Tomorrow morning we leave for Paul and Carol's.
Trip Log
Made it to Ozark, Al yesterday. No problem with the weather but it was a bit windy. Will stay two nights and head to Florida on Sunday.
Yesterday as we were coming down from the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia we could see a large valley off in the distance with a large mountain in the middle of it. It is called Pilot Mountain and it is a place we wanted to visit during our stop here.
I wear the monitor for another week and am still on coumadin until they read the results. I had my blood checked on Tuesday morning and picked up the trailer and parked it in front of the house to finish loading it for an early morning departure.
Yesterday we picked up Annika for her birthday weekend and today we went to Washington. It was her wish to visit the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, especially the gems, the dinosaurs and the bugs.
We are busy getting ready for our trip to Florida, mostly planning and preparation and some staging. We have Annika for her birthday weekend starting tomorrow and we will be going to the Smithsonian on Saturday.
We got a couple of inches of snow the other day but it didn't stick on the driveways or roads. We got a couple of more inches yesterday and it did stick so I'll have to scrape and probably shovel a little.
Monday we went to see "Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy". It started out very confusing but tied together well so we both enjoyed it and then off to "Lasorda's" for 'all you can eat' mussels which were also very good.
This year I turn 65 and was able to buy a 'Senior Lifetime' Pennsylvania fishing license. Since I buy one every year it should be quite a savings. Am thinking about the lifetime hunting license as well.
The kids skied all day yesterday and ended the day in the hot tub, then Jeff and family went tubing and Mike and Lisa made a last few runs at night.
