We all rode the bikes to the beach for a walk. It was quite windy and cool and the water was rough but the crowds were down. Alesa raked leaves again and I helped Craig build a wooden sheet metal rack for work. Alesa helped Janet with a school project and I trimmed trees.
Trip Log
This morning was nice with very few clouds so Craig took me up in his airplane.
Today we took a longer bike ride, walked on the beach and did some grocery shopping for tonight's dinner. We are pacing our sun exposure to ensure a nice tan with minimum burning. Craig is on-call at work and got a call right before dinner which kept him out until after 11.
This morning after Craig and Janet went off to work we walked around the neighborhood and met the new neighbors and some of the old ones. We got the bikes in riding form and took a spin to the beach and around town.
Last night we had dinner with Paul & Carol at a local Mexican restaurant they recommended and it was excellent. Large sized portions and two for one margaritas and beer, then we played an 'Apples to Apples' farewell tournament.
Arrived and set up at Paul and Carol's yesterday afternoon. The trip was good and the only real rain encountered was around the Daytona Speedway. This morning we visited with Eileen and then drove into Ormond Beach to visit with Betsey.
We went to the US Army Aviation Museum in Fort Rucker, drove around the countryside and into Dothan. Tomorrow morning we leave for Paul and Carol's.
Made it to Ozark, Al yesterday. No problem with the weather but it was a bit windy. Will stay two nights and head to Florida on Sunday.
Yesterday as we were coming down from the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia we could see a large valley off in the distance with a large mountain in the middle of it. It is called Pilot Mountain and it is a place we wanted to visit during our stop here.
I wear the monitor for another week and am still on coumadin until they read the results. I had my blood checked on Tuesday morning and picked up the trailer and parked it in front of the house to finish loading it for an early morning departure.
