We are down to two campers and it is wind down time. The girls slept late and then Alesa took them to see "Toy Story III" and then to the library for some more books. They spent the rest of the day reading, finishing projects, doing Wii fit and dancing to the Wii. Today they slept late again,
Trip Log
The power was still out when we got up so I shuffled things between freezers and refrigerators and ran our small fridge off the generator for a while since it was being picked-up at 7:30. Nana cooked a full breakfast on the grill on the side burner and I went out to clean up the yard. After a s
Today started as a quiet day with the kids taking showers, then off to get donuts and to the library for DVDs and books. After lunch, with donuts, they settled into an hour of reading. It was a hot, sunny day with darkness off in the distance. It didn't take but 5 minutes for the bright sunshi
Today we got up and after a hearty breakfast the girls helped clean up and Bailey helped get the trailer ready for travel. Check out time was 11:30 and we used every minute. The kids were great coming home, we had sandwiches on the road and they sang almost all the way except when we were playi
We left home about 9:30 and picked up the trailer at Roamer's Retreat Campground. After we packed it up we headed out on a 140 mile trip to Ocean City. The kids were very good with a lot of, "Are we there yet?". At lunchtime we couldn't find a fast food place with enough room for the trailer,
Today was Father's Day and the beginning of Camp NanaPapa. Both families came over for Father's Day and to drop the kiddos off. Jeff came over in the afternoon but Mike didn't come until later because they were planning on having dinner with Lisa's dad. Bailey rested up when he fell asleep at
Mike and family came over on Saturday and Jeff and family came over on Sunday so I had great birthday visits with both families. Today we went to Bailey's first track meet for his local track club. He ran the 100, 200 and the long jump and did well in all of them while we sat in the stands with
Today was my 63rd birthday and Alesa accompanied me on a tour of the battleship New Jersey. Knowing it would not be her favorite way to pass the day, today would provide me with the least grief. She was good, kind of like the kids in the back seat on a long trip, but she was good. Thanks dear.
We had a nice Memorial Day Picnic at the house with the Goodmans, Holdens, Schweds and Smiths. Jeff and family stopped in for a while between the in-laws and a neighborhood picnic. Alesa and I did get a chance to play 18 holes on Thursday and Friday we picked up Ellie for her birthday weekend.
