Trip Log

June 10, 2021

Alesa and I played 18 holes at Trilogy again with Jeff and John. Another great time. It was very hot and we were very tired. After cooling down in the pool for a while Jeff and family took us out for dinner at the Barrio Queen in Queen Creek.

This morning, Alesa and Jeff were having a discussion on the 'sunset' seats so I went for a walk around the neighborhood. Alesa took her walk afterwards. Danielle got an allergy shot and Jeff had to be with her for a few hours so we went exploring and shopping at Sam's.

Today was a busy day. We started with a 1.9 mile walk around the water retention area. I then took the drone out to the same area to see if I could see the distant fire from altitude. No joy.

As we drank our morning coffee in Jeff's 'sunset' seats we watched a quail chase a much bigger roadrunner out of his territory. After breakfast, before the wind picked up, I flew the drone from Jeff's backyard. It took off and landed perfectly within his walls and on a small patch of 'grass'.

Well, today is Sunday and we had no specific plans. After breakfast there was a discussion of how the dining room table is rarely used and never for eating and that the dining room would be better used as an office.

Today we did make it to the Mesa Flea Market. It is a very large venue with 4 very long pavilions. Only 3 were open due to summer hours and smaller crowds. Alesa bought earrings and a cowboy hat. On the way home we stopped at Albertson's to shop for a late brunch.

June 4, 2021

Headed to the Mesa Flea Market in the morning but found out that it was closed on Fridays during the summer. Not to be deterred we all headed to the Phoenix Premium Outlets in Chandler for some make-up shopping.

June 3, 2021

Today we played 18 at the Trilogy Golf Club at Power Ranch with Jeff and John. Power Ranch is the neighborhood next to Jeff's. We had a great time and golfed fairly well. It was 106 degrees today and I walked 2.56 miles according to fitbit/strava.

June 2, 2021

Started the day with a hike around the water retention area behind Jeff's house. A 1.78 mile walk according to fitbit/strava. Later in the day we went grocery shopping at Sprouts in Queen Creek for fresh vegetables, meat and treats for dinner.

June 1, 2021

Had a great night's sleep and we both woke up ready to go. Had breakfast at McDonalds and shopped at Fry's grocery store for some essentials plus. Danielle and Bailey went to work, Bri slept late and Jeff was working. At 1:30 everybody was back home, awake and fed.
