Alesa flew to Maine on the 17th and had a great time visiting with Laura. I drove her to Sanford and Steve and Laura picked her up at Bangor before they all went golfing. It was a great trip for her and she has a lot of stories and thoroughly enjoyed herself.
Trip Log
Today we took the bikes down to Craig and Janet's to ride with them at Flatwoods Park. They ride there on a regular basis and it is a very nice park and it is FLAT. It was a great day even though I fell toward the end but finished the 13 mile ride.
Covid cases are spiking in the area. Walmarts in the area are closing because of high rates for the employees. Probably short term while they clean and reinstitute precautions.
Alesa really enjoyed bike riding at Jeff's and she has been riding quite a bit since we got back. She has a very nice bike now, which Craig gave her, but it is built more for speed and long distances rather than for cruising.
Continuing water volleyball and golf and Alesa has acquired a passion for bike riding. The big news is our new loveseat. The fake leather on both of our recliners has been peeling badly and we started looking for replacements before our trip to Arizona.
Hurricane Elsa skirted the gulf coast last night and this morning and gave us some rain and wind but nothing major. Been very busy since we got back from Arizona and are almost fully recovered from the trip.
Last morning coffee, last bike ride, last dip in the pool (including panda head) and finalized our packing amidst goodbyes. Notified that our 5:10 PM flight was delayed to 6:25 so we delayed our trip to the airport a little. Jeff, Danielle and Bailey took us to the airport.
Today is our last full day in Arizona and we fly out at 5:11 tomorrow evening. My old phone was delivered today by FedEx Ground and we took it to the Verizon store and traded it in for a $700 credit on Bailey's new phone.
Called the Apple support line and after over an hour they recreated all the problems I had then were finally able to download the file to Alesa's ringtones. She is very happy to now have Bailey's voice announcing her calls.
During morning coffee saw all the critters hide in the basin as a hawk landed in a tree. After breakfast Jeff, Danielle, Alesa and I played pickleball after the morning crowd cleared. Cooled off in the pool and watched a roadrunner run through the yard, beep! beep!.
