Jeff and family made it home safe yesterday afternoon. Today we golfed with our regular Sunday group on Roosevelt. We then hosted Easter dinner with Paul & Carol, Ann & Ed and Bunni Dawson.
Trip Log
Bailey, Jeff and I went to the air gun range again this morning and they spent the time blowing apart my clothespins rather than the targets they were holding up. But we all had fun. They made a last stop at the pool, packed, loaded up and left about 1:30. We miss them already.
Today was Jeff and family's last full day in Florida. We had a great day just doing the outdoor activities. Jeff and Alesa beat each other up on the Platform Tennis court, while I played regular tennis with the rest.
I would have posted earlier but I couldn't get my mouse to work until I turned it over to see a piece of paper covering the optical sensor, compliments of Bailey, saying "April Fool". We went to the air gun range this morning then back for pickleball and tennis.
After breakfast at McDonald's we all headed to Naples for a last visit to see Craig and Janet before they sell the house. They have closed on their Tampa house and are leasing it back until early May. They will close on the Naples house on June 5th, the day after Janet's last day at school.
Today was the trail ride at Blue Moon. After a little tennis, pickleball and swimming we went to the ranch and they loaded the horses on a trailer and we followed them to Lake Panasoffkee where we all mounted up for a 90 minute trail ride. Everybody did well and had a great time.
Today was a day of tennis and basketball down at the Eisenhower Rec center, golf car driving for Bailey, some pool time, a visit to the Blue Moon Horse ranch to schedule a trail ride, a late lunch of the pizza buffet at Hungry Howies and then golf with Alesa, Jeff, Bailey and I.
Jeff and family arrived on Friday night after a 2 day trip down. Alesa was drumming for a race so she went early and we joined her after the weary travelers woke up. The race was in Orlando and we had a good trip. This evening we all went to see Scooter the DJ at Sumter Landing Town Square.
Monday I went to an advanced acoustic guitar club meeting. I didn't take my guitar as I was just interested in what they did. There were about 40 players there and after a half an hour of learning new techniques they played and sang together as each member would select a song.
My cousin Larry lives next door to another prep classmate back in Erie and he stopped here on Thursday to visit Larry for a few days. His name is Ken Felix and his wife is Jan.
