This morning we left Naples and drove across Alligator Alley to Delray Beach to visit with Ken & Sue Schwed who have rented a condo for the next 2 or 3 months. After lunch the beach was a bit crowded so they took us to the Wakodahatchee Wetlands Park.
Trip Log
Roni and Denny camped in Bushnell for the night on their way to Naples and stopped over for a visit Tuesday evening. On Wednesday, we played pickleball with Larry and Diane and ate dinner at Square1. We left home Friday at 2PM and headed for Naples to visit with Craig and Janet.
Sorry about the shadow. Down here the palm tree saw its shadow and we will have 6 more weeks of Florida. Took a golf car ride down to the new softball fields and air gun range just to check them out. We placed an order for an air rifle (pellet) and it will come next week.
Tonight Alesa's dragon boat club had their social at the Eisenhower Rec center with a 50's theme. It was fun, Alesa gave a committee report to the group and we raised another $145 for the school with a 50-50.
Drove over to Claremont to visit with Fred and Kathy Dudenhoefer and Mary Claire Brown who is visiting from Erie. She was flying back tomorrow through Philadelphia but will probably be here a little longer due to the snowstorm.
Golfed the 6 inch holes again on Thursday and I golfed even par but we won't talk about Friday. Alesa had a sister's weekend, Craig & Janet and Pat and Tracy came on Friday night. Saturday morning Pat went to Georgia to watch Annie play basketball and Lynn arrived.
Weather was a little cool last week but it's been very nice the last few days.
The weather has been cool the last couple of days but not unbearable and we don't have to shovel or scrape it. Alesa made the local paper again in an article written by a reporter who rode in the dragon boat a couple of months ago. Mike sent us a picture of Annika at her science fair.
Alesa went to the dentist on Wednesday morning then paddling in the afternoon while I went for a blood test before my 6 month checkup in Gainesville next week.
