Jim & Mary Claire Brown arrived in Florida the other day and are staying with Mary Claire's brother Fred and his wife Kathy Dudenhoefer in Claremont before visiting Jim's sister in Deland. Today, after the Erie club board Meeting we met with the four of them in Mt.
Trip Log
Ronnie & Denny Marshall are in a condo near Disney and we went to Craig and Janet's yesterday and all six of us headed into Tampa for lunch and a short walk. We went to the "Armature Works" where they have a food court under one roof and we all got what we wanted and had a nice lunch.
Jeff had a business meeting in Clearwater and arrived here on Thursday night to spend the weekend with us and flew home on Sunday afternoon. Alesa has had some pain in her right shoulder so she had an MRI and met with an orthopedic surgeon this morning.
Our counters were scheduled to be installed on the 25th but we received a call yesterday asking if we would be around today and, if so, would we like to have your counters installed.
Tonight was the February Erie Club meeting and the annual Smith's Hit Dog night. It is the most attended meeting of the year and this year didn't disappoint as we had about 150 people in attendance.
Alesa had an eye exam on Tuesday for dry eyes and a new prescription. We got home at 5 after water volleyball and we had voicemails from our granite 'place' and our installer. Seems like they don't have enough of the green butterfly that Alesa wanted.
Finally got my shingles shot at the VA on Thursday. Kept going there for it but they hadn't got clearance from my oncologist due to my chemotherapy but they always promised to have it next time. This time I sat in the waiting room until they got it.
Weather is getting colder. Freeze warning for tonight. Many people are covering plants but we figure if they cannot survive the Florida weather without help, we don't want them. I planted peas a few days ago but they are still in the ground.
Still catching up from our trips but continue to golf and play water volleyball. Had dinner with Maloneys last Saturday and Craig and Janet came up on Sunday for a turkey dinner and to watch football. Alesa saw her doctor on Wednesday for a sore neck and arm and is having some tests done.
Horse race night at the Erie club meeting last night. Stopped to see Fred and Cathy Dudenhoefer Wednesday after Alesa's annual (final) knee appointment in Orlando. Dinner tonight with Paul & Carol Stone at a new Mexican restaurant. Paul wanted us to try their pickled cactus.
