Hope you had a great Memorial Day! It was rainy, cooler and muggy here but a great day to relax and recover. We continue to play platform/tennis and golf. Alesa and I drove to the southern villages on Saturday and played the chip and putt course.
Trip Log
Normal Sunday morning golf with the guys then home for some relaxing. Mike wanted to Zoom with uncle Bob so I set up a session for Sunday evening. We met with Jeff in the afternoon so he also joined the evening meeting with Bob and Mike.
Things continue to open. All of the courts will open on Monday and the MVP athletic club will open on June 1st.
First and foremost, hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday, it is well deserved. I golfed yesterday morning while Alesa had some cherished alone time.
Checked the car yesterday morning and, again, it wouldn't start. Figured it had to be the battery not being able to hold a charge. Called around and the Ford dealer had the best price so I drove over and replaced it.
Felt a little under the weather yesterday morning which was probably due to not sleeping well the night before. No real Covid-19 symptoms so we were not worried. I rested while Alesa worked outside most of the day. Felt better later and we did our mail walk.
Did our normal mail walk today as it was too hot and humid for a longer one. Things have opened up a bit around here and I took the opportunity to swim laps at the Eisenhower pool. Using fitbit in the pool is a little different but I'll figure it out.
We continue to walk every day. We walk the neighborhood and have started walking golf courses that are closed for repair. They close a few for a couple of days each week so they have a chance to recover from constant traffic and to repair any damage.
We took a 6.2 mile walk on Tuesday, I didn't believe it either but you can check it on Strava. The library is still closed but plans to open on Monday with strict distancing rules. We took material back yesterday to the outside drop-off.
Golfed in the morning yesterday and added Eugene to our foursome.. Shopped at Sam's and waited in line a few minutes as they controlled the number of people inside. Still surprised by the number of people without masks.
