It is bittersweet to be home but we are. Had a great trip. Jeff and Danielle took us to the airport this morning and we had a nice flight back to Tampa. Craig and Janet picked us up and , after a short visit at their house, we headed back home.
Trip Log
Went to LA Fitness this morning with Alesa for a last few hits on the racquetball court. I took the rental back this afternoon and Jeff has wanted to do some exploring/hiking south of San Tan Mountain. The five of us piled in his car and headed toward Tucson.
Alesa ordered a custom made ring a few days ago from a Navajo artist (Rocky) at the Goldfield Ghost Town. It was supposed to be ready on Sunday but it wasn't so he promised it for Tuesday. Alesa sent a text this morning and he called so say it was ready.
Bailey is back at school, Bridget has school today and Danielle and Jeff are working so we played racquetball for an hour and a half this morning at LA Fitness. This afternoon we took Jackie with us to hike at the San Tan Mountain Park.
Bailey's 19th birthday is on the 8th but he is headed back to school tonight and we will not see him again before we leave. So, on his request, Alesa baked a giant chocolate chip cookie and we had a birthday party for him after dinner this evening.
We played racquetball this morning and this afternoon Jeff and Danielle picked up her sister, Jackie at the airport. Watched football much of the day to include watching Arizona State beat Arizona for the Territorial Cup. Tried to do that outside but it was just too cold.
Leftovers, football, cleaning up after last night's storm, leftovers and farewell pictures. Renewed our rental for another week, took some practice photos for the best use of the sun, took farewell photos and I drove Mike and family to the Phoenix airport for their trip home.
Yesterday was another wonderful Crawford holiday. Thanks to Jeff & Danielle and family for hosting and to Mike & Lisa and family for flying out west to join us. It was a great day of family with food, gobble wobbles, games and football.
After breakfast we went to the Superstition mountains and The Lost Dutchman State Park for a long hike. Bridget had school and Bailey wasn't feeling well so they didn't go. We took a longer but less steep hike to the high point at the base of the cliffs.
Spent Sunday watching football and some slept. Took a walk at dusk in the neighborhood to check out Christmas lights. Yesterday we did some last minute Thanksgiving shopping and prepared for the incoming Crawfords. Mike and family left Philly around 6 PM and arrived in Phoenix at around 9:30.
