Watched the launch of a GPS satellite on a Falcon 9 rocket last night. It was a very clear night and the rocket launched to the northeast so I was able to watch it through the first stage shutdown and the second stage ignition. It is the longest I have been able to watch a flight.

Happy Halloween. Bought candy today just in case we get some visitors tonight, Haven't had any trick-or-treaters for the last 8 Halloween nights but that insures a lot of leftovers.

Took our mail in ballots over to the election office the other day and there was a steady stream of people dropping off theirs as well. Happy to see such participation. We also checked on the internet a few days later to be sure the ballots were received. Please cast your vote.

They opened the first of four new bridges to provide golf cart accessibility to the new villages south of Rt 44 and the turnpike. It opened on Friday and we were playing volleyball at Rohan on Saturday so we went early and drove across. It was very nice.

Mike, our across the street neighbor, whom we golf with once or twice a week had used the same golf ball for almost four months earlier this year and became so attached that he named it Frank. Before each shot Mike would instruct Frank on what he expected and Frank would try his best.

Today, with the threat of rain, we biked the Withlacoochie trail from Inverness to Floral City and back again for a ride of 14 miles. The trail was paved and level with some small changes in elevation. We drove to Inverness in a rainstorm and Craig and Janet met us there.

Monk and Mona want to know when this social distancing will be over, it is getting old. But, we do continue to keep busy even as the rain continues to limit our time in the pool, on the court and on the course. We continue to watch "The Great Courses"
