Did our normal mail walk today as it was too hot and humid for a longer one. Things have opened up a bit around here and I took the opportunity to swim laps at the Eisenhower pool. Using fitbit in the pool is a little different but I'll figure it out.
Trip Log
We continue to walk every day. We walk the neighborhood and have started walking golf courses that are closed for repair. They close a few for a couple of days each week so they have a chance to recover from constant traffic and to repair any damage.
We took a 6.2 mile walk on Tuesday, I didn't believe it either but you can check it on Strava. The library is still closed but plans to open on Monday with strict distancing rules. We took material back yesterday to the outside drop-off.
Golfed in the morning yesterday and added Eugene to our foursome.. Shopped at Sam's and waited in line a few minutes as they controlled the number of people inside. Still surprised by the number of people without masks.
Been Zoomimg a lot lately, even went Pro. Thursday, I surprised Alesa with a Zoom meeting with Steve & Laura as a replacement for their real visit which was scheduled for that day. After that we Zoomed with Jeff and family in Arizona. Bailey had his sister bleach his hair.
We are surviving isolation well, we think we are busier than ever finishing old projects and starting new ones. Last Friday we took a 37 mile golf cart ride to some far reachable parts of The Villages and beyond.
Monday we cleaned house and then bought about 5 pounds of jellybeans in search of the black ones which we never found. People must be hoarding them. Tuesday we painted the back hall and set up payment for our two week France Viking cruise in October . We booked through AAA in Bangor, ME.
Hope everyone is having a safe and happy Easter. We golfed this morning and had a very nice 'ZOOM' videoconference with the kids and grandkids this afternoon. We were all together with Mike and family playing Monopoly (Penn State variety) and Jeff and family by their pool with the dogs.
Our 'little farmer' (Niebauer means little farmer in German) has been busy tending the gardens and her compost pile. The local Ford dealer picked up the car this morning to do the recalls and they called this afternoon to say they would have it back in the morning.
Today was somewhat of a quiet day. It was a hot day and we didn't feel like doing much outside. After breakfast I made butter noodles (big, fat ones) and then potato soup and that's what I had for dinner. It was yum, just like I used to make.
