Trip Log

December 15, 2017

Today is Alesa's birthday and she was greeted this morning by Olaf, the 'Frozen' snowman, on the counter sitting on her present. She has been talking about trying watercolors and has tried to sign up for courses, but, alas, there are none at the present time.

December 14, 2017

Tonight was the Erie Club Christmas Party. We usually take December off from meetings since many people head back home for Christmas or are busy with other parties. The club is growing and a quick poll during last month's meeting showed a number of people interested.

December 13, 2017

The frost has been on the pumpkin (or papaya) but the sun comes out and warms things up a bit, usually into the 60s or 70s. Jeff flew into Orlando on Monday and arrived here around 2. We had a 3:44 tee time at Bacall and were joined by a local (Jim) to round out the foursome.

December 9, 2017

Snowing in Philadelphia, Jeff said they have 3 inches. Been busy and the weather is getting cooler here. Jeans and a long sleeve shirt today. Even freeze warnings tonight. Read that green papaya is better for you than ripe papaya so I have been picking and trying them different ways.

November 26, 2017

The alternate activity in case of rain on Black Friday was to go to the movies. But the sun came out and dried up all the rain and Alesa missed out. So, I took her to see 'Murder on the Orient Express' yesterday morning. It was well done. Met Mike and family last night in Mt.

November 24, 2017

Got up to another rainy day today, had Thanksgiving leftovers for breakfast and Craig and Janet joined us for the day. Alesa and Lisa took a cart ride to Winn-Dixie to pick up egg roll wrappers because Lisa wanted to make Thanksgiving egg rolls in the air fryer.

November 23, 2017

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Mike and family came back last night and the ladies spent the morning getting ready for our Thanksgiving feast. Connie Fales joined the 6 of us for a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner at around 2.

November 21, 2017

After the boat rides, Craig put his canoe back on the truck and we had a very nice picnic and the kids played on the playground and rode their bikes. Afterwards we all stopped at Zach and Cathy's to check out their Lego collection.

November 20, 2017

Craig and Janet's daughter, Kate, and her family are visiting from Austin for a few days and we headed down to Lettuce Lake Park just south of Craig's house. Mike and family came over this morning and they rode with us to the park.

November 18, 2017

A 'between-the-visits' week and we were catching up and getting ready. Alesa spent a few days focused on platform tennis since some 'world famous' player was visiting and giving instruction to the Platform tennis club members.
