As always we continue to stay very busy with all our normal activities in spite of the heat and the rain. Went to see Johnny Wild and the Delights in the square last night but too hot to stay for long. Getting up to date with doctor and dentist appointments and all is well.
Trip Log
Been busy since our return from the North. Golf, tennis, landscaping and doctor & dentist appointments. All is good. Alesa did tweak her elbow a few days ago and took a rest from tennis but is still golfing.
Left Jeff's at about 8 on Sunday morning and arrived in Lumberton, NC at about 4 and shopped at the outlets on the way. The weather was great and so was the traffic, even through DC. Left around 7:30 this morning and arrived home before 3. Another day of great weather and traffic.
Went shopping at the Lancaster outlets with Bailey and Bridget but they didn't get anything but Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Alesa got her dream pair of sneakers and I replaced the sunglasses I left in the golf cart the other day. Tonight we had a wonderful dinner at the Schweds.
Jeff's new refrigerator was delivered today and much time was spent wondering why it wasn't getting colder sooner or making ice faster, but not to worry everything is fine. It is very nice with plenty of room.
Left Mike and family late yesterday afternoon after a wonderful visit and arrived at Jeff's in time for dinner. This morning I stayed here with Bridget while the rest played tennis after buying a new refrigerator at Lowes. They have been looking for a while.
Yesterday we and the girls stopped at Dalessandro's Steaks and picked up lunch on the way to meet Mike at work in Manayunk. We met and ate at Pretzel Park then Mike gave us a tour of his office at "Delphic Digital". We had Chinese for dinner.
After dinner last night we visited with Becca and Imogen. We left Bob and Cathy's around 7 this morning and drove across the Southern Tier Expressway to Owego to visit Lois, our Villages neighbor who spends summers there in a nice downtown apartment.
Yesterday we walked on the peninsula, stopped at the Tom Ridge center and visited Art and Annie Freitas. We did get to see the Niagara sail out the channel to begin their 2 month Great Lakes tour. Bob took a half day off and we golfed at Whispering Woods, a new course off Grubb road.
Yesterday, after breakfast with Mike's family at Shirley's Country Kitchen and some shopping, we visited with Tim and Cheryl Maloney at their condo by the Peninsula. They won't be back in The Villages until late October.
