Trip Log

November 15, 2017

Yes, we (Alesa) have the Christmas tree up already. Since the weather has been cooler and we are looking forward to visitors, what the heck? Since the Christmas tree is up, Alesa pulled out one of the citrus trees in the yard to make room for a fig tree.

We have wanted to fill the wall space over the cupboards in the kitchen so we collected items from back home and a 12x12 canvas done by Anika was included. Try and find a 12x12 frame and Alesa was very particular on what she wanted so I built one.

November 10, 2017

Last Night was the November club meeting and it was a 'dish to pass' night with "The Traveling Nerd" as entertainment. He is a DJ who does 'fun' stuff between the dance songs. He was entertaining and I was surprised at how most of the attendees got into the fun.

November 9, 2017

Our niece Becca (Bob and Cathy's oldest), her husband Jason and their daughter Imogen are renting a condo at Jensens Beach and stopped over for the night after visiting with her aunt Mary Carol in Deland. We had a great time and are so pleased to have them visit.

November 4, 2017

Two new executive golf courses opened on Sunday and we have played them both. They are down in the new village of Fenney and are quite beautiful as they wind through 'Old Florida' landscape. The waterways down there are spring fed resulting in very clear running water.

October 28, 2017

Spent some of the last two days building a home for Alesa's shoes. They had been laid out on the closet floor and took up quite a bit of room, Now they are tucked away nice and neat in their new home. Did watch Prep win and Penn State lose their games today.

October 26, 2017

It has started to cool down a bit and we're loving it, but rest assured there will be plenty of hot days in the future. Most of the golf course are reopen after Irma but the influx of snowbirds makes it tougher to get tee times and the traffic is continuing to build.

October 21, 2017

Our neighbor, Lois, turns 80 on Monday so we had a little birthday get-together. We grilled some steaks and Lois and Mike and Janie Monaghan, from across the street, joined us for dinner followed by cake and ice cream.

October 19, 2017

Left Pa Tuesday morning the 10th, spent the night in Lumberton and arrived home on Wednesday around 4 in the afternoon. A couple of follow up doctor appointments for Alesa and all is better than well. She is back in platform tennis and we are back to golf.

October 8, 2017

Yesterday morning we played early tennis with Jeff and Danielle then headed over to Mike's for a couple of days. Mike and I watched the Penn State game while the girls shopped, got Elyse's dress ready for the homecoming dance and played Chinese checkers.
