Went to Elyse's apartment at 10 this morning. After many hugs and a short visit we headed off to the Nittany Mall only to find that it didn’t open until noon on Sundays. We went in but didn’t want to wait so we headed back into town to Elyse’s favorite coffee shop, Elixir.

Left Grove City on I-80 and took a detour through the Pennsylvania mountains up to Johnsonburg and St Mary's Pennsylvania. My mother's parents were from St. Mary's and we visited relatives in Johnsonburg when I was a child. We arrived in State College at 1 and checked into our room.

Yesterday we went to breakfast at Perkins with Bob and Cathy. We then went putter shopping since I broke my putter during one of the last rounds in Canada and have been using Bob's. Alesa will give me back my old putter and she will get a new one.

We did get to golf lakeside today and it was fun and brought back a lot of memories. We then took Bob and Cathy out to dinner at the 'Pier 6 Rooftop Bar and Restaurant' on the bayfront then off to Dairy Queen for dessert. We stopped to see Aunt Bernice on our way home.

Met Bob and Cathy at the beach for their regular Tuesday visit with friends at the peninsula. They are our friends as well, so it was fun catching up. We had lunch at the shrine club then ice cream at the Whippy Dip II with Bob and Cathy on the way home.

Today was a day to drive around Erie while Bob and Cathy babysat grandkids. We drove down to Lampe campground where we walked along the south pier, around the dock, around 2nd and Cascade where Laura's grandfather lived and a short ride around the peninsula.

Left Watertown this morning and arrived in Erie early this afternoon after driving through some pretty heavy thunderstorms in NY state. We got off the NY thruway in Westfield and drove through Ripley and stopped off at the old house. It looked empty and was in pretty sad shape.

Wished Steve and Laura a happy fiftieth, packed the car, said our goodbyes and headed back to Canada on Friday morning. Arrived at the Auberge Lakeview Inn just after 3.

Left Quebec on Tuesday morning, golfed in Lac-Megantic about 15 miles north of the Maine border. It was a very nice course but we were so tired and play was slow, so we skipped the 18th hole and gave ourselves all birdies. We spent the night at Steve and Laura's condo at Sugarloaf.

Today was a day for touring Quebec. The ladies headed out for some shopping and Steve and I went for a ride on the Big Red Bus, an open top, double decker bus with 14 stops and on and off ability. It was a great ride so we texted the ladies to see if they wanted to join us.
